| Description |
SCT6018 is a solid cooling water treatment product
developed for high silica water conditions. It uses
the very latest anti-scaling, anti-fouling and corrosion
inhibition technologies. Its scale dispersant and
corrosion inhibitors work with conventional chemistry
to provide system protection at low product dosage
rates.
SCT6018 is available in fully recyclable plastic
bottles each containing 5kg of concentrated solid
chemical.
SCT6018 contains PBTC phosphonate, HEDP phosphonate,
a dual polymer package (Versaflex SI and AR-540),
and triazole.
Product Application / Feedrate
Versaflex SI is a complex polymer specifically
designed for silica and magnesium control in cooling
water systems. Versaflex SI has demonstrated control
of silica to a concentration above 250 ppm (as SiO2)
in pilot and field studies. To start, formulations
should contain between 15 – 20 ppm of Versaflex
SI on a dry basis, in the re-circulating water.

The recommended start-up dosage rate (charging
systems) for SCT6018 is 100 ppm. This is equivalent
to 0.36kg per 3.6m3 of system volume.
At a dosage rate of 20 ppm, 1 case of SCT6018 is
equivalent to approximately 227kg of a conventional
liquid product. Comparative values will vary, dependent
upon concentration.
Testing & Control
Organophosphonate test kits suitable for monitoring
and controlling the use of SCT6018 are available
from SCT.
Feeding
Feed SCT6018 using an SCT DB100 board system.
Packaging, Storage and Handling
SCT6018 is packaged in cases containing 4 x 5kg
bottles.
Each case weighs 20kg.
For all safety data refer to the latest SCT MSDS.
Store this product in cool, dry area. Correctly
stored product will remain effective for between
24 to 36 months.
