Description

SCT6002 is a multi-functional scale and corrosion inhibitor cooling water treatment product developed for “stressed”, high water hardness conditions. It uses the very latest anti-scaling, anti-fouling and corrosion inhibition technologies. Its scale dispersant and corrosion inhibitors work with conventional chemistry to provide system protection at low product dosage rates.

SCT6002 comprises a small solid chemical baton (0.36kg) wrapped in a water soluble bag. It is designed to treat open cooling tower water systems during system start-up, and helps to achieve a suitable inhibitor concentration during this stage.

SCT6002 is also a good “catch up” solution for cooling systems that have lost water or where the inhibitor feed has been absent for some time. It is also good for use in small cooling systems where metering of the inhibitor into the system is not practical.

SCT6002 contains PBTC phosphonate, HEDP phosphonate, polymaleic acid, Ter-polymer, HPA and triazole.

Product Application / Feedrate

SCT6002 can be used in cooling tower water systems using the following dosage rates. The application rates provided below are based on set water stability indices, however in practice, dosage rates should be set to suit individual water conditions.

* Each baton of SCT6002 yields 25 ppm of product when added to 14.4m3 of system volume/water.

Organo-phosphonate specific test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling the use of SCT6002 are available from SCT.

Feeding*

When dosed into a cooling system, operators should attempt to find a high flow area in the sump of the cooling tower or inside an accessible make-up tank. Please note that product dissolution rates will vary depending upon water composition, temperature and flow rate.

Packaging, Storage and Handling

SCT6002 is packaged in cases containing 30 x 0.36kg water-soluble bags, each bag being enclosed in a sealed cardboard tube.

Each case weighs 10.9kg.

Store this product in cool, dry area. Correctly stored product will remain effective for between 24 to 36 months.
