Iron Deposit Cleaner & Scale Remover for Open & Closed Loops

Product Name:

SCT6036
Application: Open & Closed Loop Water Systems
Brief Description: Iron Deposit Cleaner & Scale Remover
Format: Baton (0.45kg) - Solid
Description

SCT6036 is a solid citric acid/polyphos-based iron deposit cleaner and scale remover. It is engineered to aid the removal of stubborn iron deposits and scale build-up in water systems and uses the mechanism of acid and chelation.

SCT6036 can be used for both open and closed loops utilising in-line filters. It can also be used for system flushing to allow the removal of “in-situ” iron material.

SCT6036 is thermally stable and can also be used in open cooling systems.

SCT6036 comprises a small (0.45kg) solid chemical baton wrapped in a water soluble bag. It is designed to treat small systems where the metering of the inhibitor into the system is not practical.

Product Application / Feedrate

Application rates for SCT6036 will vary between 20 - 2000 ppm in the system water depending upon the severity of the iron scale/deposit build-up.

When using SCT6036 to clean heavily fouled systems, care should be taken to prevent clogging of screens, strainers and lines. For heavily fouled systems, it may be advantageous to use SCT6036 in conjunction with a side stream filter.

The starting application for SCT6036 is one baton (0.45kg) per 1890 litres of system volume.

Feeding

When dosed into an open system, operators should attempt to find a high flow area in the sump of the cooling tower or inside an accessible make-up tank. Closed systems can be dosed using the existing by-pass feeder. Please note that product dissolution rates will vary depending upon water composition, temperature and flow rate.

Packaging, Storage and Handling

SCT6036 is packaged in cases containing 24 x 0.45kg water-soluble batons, each baton being enclosed in a sealed cardboard tube.

Each case weighs 10.9kg.

For all safety data refer to the latest SCT MSDS.

Store this product in cool, dry area. Correctly stored product will remain effective for between 24 to 36 months.
