Safety Benefits of Solid Chemicals

Our innovative solid chemical products are among the safest chemicals to be designed and available for use in the treatment of boilers, cooling towers and cooling systems. They offer a number of significant safety benefits over traditional liquid chemical products and help to improve safety, reduce accidents; and limit corporate risk and liability issues.

Eliminate Manual Handling of Heavy Drums

Using our highly concentrated solid chemical products eliminates the health and safety risks; and liability issues often associated with the handling of heavy drums; and storage of liquids and hazardous chemicals. Our lightweight solid products will not spill or leak making them safe and easy to handle. Our largest bottled product weighs only 5.5kg, and our small baton products generally weigh less than 0.5kg.

Eliminate Chemical Exposure

Using our solid chemical products eliminates the potential for chemical contact, health and exposure issues with employees, and customers.

Our products are fully encapsulated in either a 100% recyclable plastic bottle or water soluble wrapper. The chemical dissolution process employed is fully automated using our specialist dosing systems thereby eliminating the potential for further chemical contact.

Eliminate Hazardous Spills & Splashes

Our chemical products are manufactured in a solid form and will not spill or leak even if the outer bottle is damaged. This eliminates the hazards normally associated with punctured drums and hazardous spills; and the need for containment bunding and chemical pouring.

Eliminate Noxious Odors & Hazardous Fumes

Our solid form chemical products eliminate the potential for noxious odors or hazardous fumes; often a problem with liquid chemicals.

Eliminate Chemical Disposal Issues

Our solid chemical products eliminate the need for additional rinsing of used drums or the potential for unwanted disposal of toxic products into the waste stream. This is because our products are designed to be fully consumed to leave no unwanted waste. Our plastic containers and outer packaging are also fully recyclable.

Eliminate Long Pipe Runs & Pressurised Delivery Systems

Eliminate the risks associated with long pipe runs and high pressure delivery systems using our solid chemical system. The compact nature of our chemical products and wall mounted delivery systems means they can usually be located at the point of use, for example: adjacent to a roof top cooling tower with space limitations. This eliminates the need for remotely located dosage systems with long pipe runs, high pressure delivery systems and the potential spill and leakage hazards that go with them.

Improve Staff Safety, Manual Handling & Convenience

In many facilities, a “small” 25kg drum of liquid chemical is carried around the facility to apply small make-up amounts at the point of application. This drum often has to be transported through offices, reception and other occupied areas; up stairs, up ladders, to roof top or basement plant rooms. These drums are heavy and not easy to handle increasing the potential for back injuries, spillages and other potentially dangerous accidents.

Both our solid bottles and batons offer a practical alternative to such a situation. Our batons are small, discrete, easily carried weighing only 0.5 Kg or less; and have no potential for spillage.
