| Description |
SCT6038 is a solid boiler water treatment product
incorporating scale inhibitors and an alkalinity
builder. This product is based on low-level phosphate-polymer,
chelant and an alkalinity builder and is suitable
for use in boiler systems under both softened and
hard water make-up applications. For hard water
applications, less than 20 ppm total hardness in
the feed water. SCT6038 includes low levels of chelant
and polymer; when used over time these components
combine to aid on-line system cleaning.
All components of SCT6038 conform to US FDA Title
21, Section 173 Boiler Water Additives.
SCT6038 is available in fully recyclable plastic
bottles each containing 5.5kg of concentrated solid
chemical.
Product Application / Feedrate
1kg of SCT6038, dosed at a rate of 40 ppm will
treat approximately 55,000lbs of boiler blowdown.
One case of SCT6038 (21.8kg) is equivalent to 108kg
of a conventional liquid product. Comparative values
will vary, dependent upon concentration.

* - Total phosphate is used for ease of testing.
If the make-up water contains PO4, adjust or lower
the control limits to compensate for this interference.
Test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling
the use of SCT 6037 are available from SCT.
Feeding
Feed SCT6038 using an SCTDB100 board system.
Packaging, Storage and Handling
SCT6038 is packaged in cases containing 4 x 5.5kg
bottles.
Each case weighs 21.8kg.

Store this product in cool, dry area. Correctly
stored product will remain effective for between
24 to 36 months.
