| Description |
SCT6021 is a broad-spectrum microbicide developed
for the control of microbiological fouling in cooling
water systems. It is designed to control bacteria,
fungi and algae, and is US EPA registered for use
in cooling water systems.
SCT6021 can also be used to control microbiological
fouling in re-circulating cooling water systems.
SCT6021 is based on a dry blend of two microbicidal
actives containing 8% methlene bis (thiocyanate)
and 8% 2 - (thiocyanomethylthio) benzothiazole.
This product is available in a small solid baton
form (0.45kg) wrapped in a water soluble bag.
Product Application / Feedrate
SCT6021 should be fed initially at a rate of 1
– 2 batons (0.45kg) per 7,500 – 19,000
litres of system water until control is achieved.
Once control is achieved feed SCT6021 at a rate
of 1 baton (0.45kg) per 7,500 – 19,000 litres
of system water every 1 - 5 days as required.
Feeding
Feed SCT6021 to an area of good flow to ensure
efficient dispersion into the system. Please note
that product dissolution rates will vary depending
upon water composition, temperature and flow rate.
Testing & Control
Test kits suitable for monitoring and controlling
the use of SCT6021 are available from SCT.
Packaging, Storage and Handling
SCT6021 is packaged in large plastic pails with
screw top lids containing 25 x 0.45kg water soluble
bags of product. Water soluble bags are then packaged
in “zip-lock” bags, each containing
4 x 0.45kg.
Each pail weighs 11.4kg.
For all handling and safety data refer to the latest
SCT MSDS.
Always store this product in its original packaging
in a cool, dry area. Never open the individual water
soluble bags.
Correctly stored product will remain effective
for between 24 to 36 months.
